Dear Failure
I met you for the first time,
the day that broke my pride, sublime.
My hopes, brutally crushed,
and my heart, entirely flushed.
I hesitated to look into those eyes,
for you were cold as some ice.
Failure, as you are known to the world,
Seeing you made even my courage curl!
I wonder why did you run into me like this!
All I ever wished is success and its bliss.
People term you merciless and unforgiving,
I must say, your smile is deceiving!
You made me fall and grieve hard,
the emotional journey in your reign was quite bad!
But then I got to know you better and deep,
You made me unhappy and sometimes even weep.
Surprisingly, you taught me things to live by,
Sometimes, falling can help you fly high!
Respecting you was never an opinion,
I knew how you have killed dreams of million!
You made me try harder than I would have, ever,
You made me passionate than I could be, ever.
You shattered my expectations and endeavors,
Even my luck didn’t do me any favors!
Today, I stand mightier than yesterday,
You taught, there is always some way.
In an eternal struggle to escape your embrace,
I learned to fight back with sheer grace!
Are you really the antagonist of my tale?
You helped me improve on a huge scale,
Our story is filled with hatred no more,
Finally, my ship might reach the shore,
It’s time for us to say goodbye,
You made me realize the truths and lies!
Gratitude is all that I feel for you now,
Dear failure, you changed me somehow!
